Wiley Announces 2026 Partner and Counsel Promotions

Washington, DC – Wiley is pleased to announce the election of seven new partners – Theodore P. Brackemyre, Colin J. Cloherty, Nathan B. Lovett, Hume M. Ross, Rebecca L. Saitta, Frank Scaduto, and Krystal B. Swendsboe – and the promotion of Matt Lapin to of counsel, effective January 1, 2026.

• Ted Brackemyre (International Trade) represents clients from a broad range of industries in a variety of international trade matters, including antidumping and countervailing duty litigation and issues related to trade, tariff, and climate policy.
• Colin Cloherty (White Collar Defense & Government Investigations) represents corporate and individual clients in complex criminal and civil government enforcement actions, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, and administrative proceedings, as well as civil litigation and arbitration.
• Matt Lapin (International Trade) counsels clients from a range of industries, including technology and communications, critical minerals, life sciences, aerospace, and energy, on a variety of international trade matters, such as supply chain risk, export controls, economic sanctions, customs law, foreign investment, and anti-corruption matters.
• Nate Lovett (Insurance) advises insurers on cyber risks and provides strategic advice on other media, technology, and privacy-related exposures. In addition to his work assisting clients with ransomware events, Nate specializes in data breach class actions and privacy-related exposures stemming from companies’ use of website tracking technologies.
• Hume Ross (Environment & Product Regulation) provides comprehensive regulatory strategy and litigation support for clients in heavily regulated industries, including manufacturing, crop protection, energy storage, construction, and consumer products.
• Rebecca Saitta (Litigation) represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including contract and business tort disputes, government contracts litigation (including prime/subcontractor disputes), trade secret misappropriation claims, and corporate investigations. She handles cases in state and federal courts across the country, as well as arbitration proceedings.
• Frank Scaduto (Litigation) focuses on matters involving government regulation, technological innovation, and financial markets, regularly assisting clients with novel developments in law and technology. He represents clients in litigation, arbitration, investigations, and government enforcement actions and has handled high-stakes bet-the-company matters and complex litigation nationwide.
• Krystal Swendsboe (Litigation) represents clients in complex litigation and appellate matters in state and federal courts, including in the U.S. Supreme Court. She has extensive litigation experience across a variety of practice areas, ranging from pre-complaint investigations to critical motions practice, discovery disputes, trial, and appeals.
