Wiley’s Sara Baxenberg, Matthew Beato, and Elizabeth Lee Named ‘Rising Stars’ by Law360

Washington, DC – Wiley Rein LLP is pleased to announce that Sara M. Baxenberg, Matthew W. Beato, and Elizabeth S. Lee have been named to Law360’s prestigious list of 2023 “Rising Stars” in their respective practice areas. Baxenberg was recognized in the Telecommunications category, Beato was named to the list for Insurance, and Lee was selected for International Trade.

The highly competitive annual list recognizes attorneys under 40 “whose legal accomplishments belie their age,” according to the publication. A team of Law360 editors reviewed more than 1,300 submissions before selecting the list of 183 honorees from more than 94 law firms and spanning 38 practice areas. Law360 will publish feature profiles on Baxenberg, Beato, and Lee in the coming weeks, highlighting their respective accomplishments.

Baxenberg, partner in Wiley’s Telecom, Media & Technology Practice, offers counsel on regulatory, litigation, transactional, and compliance matters affecting the telecommunications, uncrewed aircraft system, and automotive industries and other sectors that rely on emerging technologies. Her practice includes advocacy before the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Aviation Administration, among other agencies, and litigation at the appellate and trial court levels. Major issue areas in her practice include wireless infrastructure, UAS, content moderation/Section 230, and communications accessibility law.

Beato, partner in the firm’s Insurance Practice, represents professional liability and general liability insurers in complex coverage litigation before federal and state courts nationwide. He also provides strategic counseling and serves as monitoring counsel for insurers under a variety of coverages, including directors and officers, financial institution professional liability, cyber risk, lawyers malpractice, employment, and media and technology. He has extensive experience with D&O and securities coverage matters, and coordinating joint defense efforts in complex D&O litigation.

Lee, associate in the International Trade Practice, represents clients in a variety of international trade matters and has extensive experience in issues related to enforcement of U.S. trade remedy orders. She represents a broad range of domestic companies and industries before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and related litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
