2024 International Trade and National Security Outlook: Policies and Cases to Watch

We anticipate that 2024 will be another extremely important year for international trade and national security law and policy. The Biden Administration and Congress will continue to debate trade legislation and policy priorities, all in the context of an election year. In addition, trade negotiations, new trade enforcement actions, and national security policies have the potential to significantly affect companies and industries. There are also important cases and other matters before the Administration, including the U.S. Department of Commerce’s review of Vietnam’s current status as a nonmarket economy for purposes of antidumping cases. Additionally, Congress has provided a range of recommendations to the Administration. In 2024, we will also see the impact of recent legislation and programs like the Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, and Buy America requirements on critical material production, imports, and exports.

Join Wiley partners Tim Brightbill, Robert DeFrancesco, Nazak Nikakhtar, and Chris Weld for a one-hour webinar where they will share the top trade and national security policies and developments they are watching in 2024.
