Tim Brightbill Quoted by Solar Power World Regarding Commerce's Ethiopian Solar Cell Investigation
Timothy C. Brightbill, chair of the International Trade Practice, was quoted by Solar Power World in the article, "US will investigate solar cells from Ethiopia for potential tariff circumvention," regarding the U.S. Department of Commerce's decision to investigate whether solar cells from Ethiopia are circumventing antidumping and countervailing duties.
"Our sustained monitoring of these trade flows is delivering results, and this new investigation sends a clear signal to bad actors: we will not stand by while they repeatedly circumvent our trade laws to undercut American manufacturing,” said Brightbill. “We commend the Dept. of Commerce for following the evidence and initiating this inquiry.”
