Tim Brightbill Quoted by New York Law Journal Regarding the Legalities Behind the Trump Administration's Section 301 Tariffs
Timothy C. Brightbill, co-chair of the International Trade Practice, was quoted by New York Law Journal regarding the legal implications of Trump Administration's new Section 301 tariffs on 60 countries in the article, "Trump's New Global Tariffs Have Better Legal Grounding. Does That Matter?"
Brightbill noted one complication that could arise from any lawsuits challenging the new tariffs is if the reviewing courts would look at the duties as a whole, or individually. “I think the administration tried to take this action in a way so that each of the 60 investigations stand separately,” said Brightbill.
