Hon. Nazak Nikakhtar's Congressional Testimony Noted by Media

South China Morning Post, Tampa Free Press
July 16, 2026

Hon. Nazak Nikakhtar, chair of the National Security Practice, was quoted by South China Morning Post in the article, "Senate bill seeks to curb US reliance on China in drug industry," regarding Chinese investment in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry.

Nikakhtar, whose comments came from her recent testimony before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, noted that "Chinese investments that fell under CFIUS jurisdiction should face a 'presumption of denial,' meaning investors should have to prove why a transaction deserves US government approval."

Nikakhtar's testimony was also noted by Tampa Free Press in the article "Florida Sen. Rick Scott Warns Of Foreign Control Over US Drug Supply Chain."
