Wiley Honored with DC Justice Lab’s 2026 Commitment to Change Award
Wiley has been honored with the DC Justice Lab's 2026 Commitment to Change Award, which recognizes firms that have demonstrated a commitment to transforming the District of Columbia’s approach to public safety in the DC region through impactful pro bono work.
The award recognizes over 700 hours of work by Wiley attorneys and professional staff to promote the crafting and building of community coalition support for legislation that would allow incarcerated individuals to provide virtual testimony before the Council of the District of Columbia in proceedings affecting their communities.
Wiley received the award at DC Justice Lab's Movement Mixer on September 17 in Washington, DC.
The Wiley team, which collaborated with the DC Justice Lab on this matter, was led by International Trade associate April Her Song and practice attorney Rafael A. Andino, in consultation with Pro Bono Partner Theodore A. Howard.
