"I think the most interesting thing in this space right now is what is about to happen in the U.S.-China relationship. China has us in a tough spot with export restrictions on rare earths and other critical raw materials that we urgently need," Nikakhtar told Export Practitioner. She added, "I think for China, it’s to their advantage to exacerbate our supply chain vulnerabilities now, before we rebuild our domestic industrial base."
