Greta Peisch Speaks to Reuters on Potential of Congress Rescinding Trade Laws

Reuters
November 4, 2026

Greta M. Peisch, partner in Wiley's International Trade Practice, was quoted by Reuters in the article "Democrats gain influence over trade agenda, but tariff repeals to hit Trump veto wall" regarding the possibility of the upcoming Democratic majority in Congress rescinding several trade laws that give tariff authority to the President.

Speaking on if Democrats might be able to attract enough Republican votes in order to override a presidential veto in such an instance, Peisch noted that "It still feels like a like a stretch, but it seems like a question that should be asked."
