June 17, 2026

Greta M. Peisch, partner in the International Trade Practice, was quoted by The Canadian Press regarding the upcoming USMCA extension in the article, "What you need to know as the deadline for formally extending CUSMA approaches." Among other things, Peisch discussed the possibility of the Trump Administration refraining from agreeing to the upcoming extension. "If that is the case, the parties will discuss what changes could be made to address concerns about the operation of the agreement," Peisch said. "The parties have already started this conversation, particularly between Mexico and Canada."
