Foreign Policy
July 29, 2014

Felder, a partner in Wiley Rein’s award-winning Intellectual Property Practice, was quoted in an article published today in Foreign Policy about Keith Alexander, former head of the National Security Agency, and his consulting activities since leaving the Agency.  General Alexander is advising and assisting companies with their cybersecurity activities, using methods he patented after leaving the agency.  These patents are valid as long as the employee can prove that they invented the technology on their own time and separately from their core duties.  "There is no easy black-and-white answer to this," said Mr. Felder.  To read the entire article, click here.
