FCC Waives Certain Quarterly Transition Reports for Television Stations in Repack Phases 3, 5, and 8

March 29, 2019

The FCC’s Incentive Auction Task Force and Media Bureau announced that they are waiving the requirement to file certain quarterly Post-Auction Transition Progress Reports where those reports are due in close proximity to the 10-Week report filing deadline.

Specifically:

  • Stations in repack phase 3 do not need to file the Quarterly Report due on April 10, 2019.
  • Stations in repack phase 5 do not need to file the Quarterly Report due on July 10, 2019.
  • Stations in repack phase 8 do not need to file the Quarterly Report due on January 10, 2020.

All stations must still file their 10-Week Reports as well as reports 10 days after completing all work related to construction of their post-auction facilities and five days after they ceases broadcasting on their pre-auction channel.

If you have any questions about the post-incentive auction repack or the corresponding filing requirements, please contact the Wiley Rein attorney who regularly handles your FCC matters or one of the attorneys listed on this alert.
