Experience
Representative Matters
- Served as FCC regulatory counsel in over 100 broadcast transactions ranging from multibillion-dollar television group mergers to restructuring of large radio companies to single-station purchases.
- Authored client comments in a variety of FCC rulemaking dockets, including proceedings on the national television ownership cap, quadrennial media ownership reviews, digital FM power increases, and software-based EAS alerting.
- Advocated for clients in high-profile FCC investigative proceedings and retransmission consent disputes.
- Assisted in structuring and obtaining FCC approval for the deployment of ATSC 3.0 in New York City and other television markets.
- Routinely advises large, medium, and small radio and television broadcasters on compliance with FCC rules and policies including station licensing and license renewal, public file and reporting requirements, broadcast indecency, and political advertising.
- Counsels media owners, lenders, and equity investors on FCC regulatory requirements in debt and equity financing, restructuring, and workouts.
