Wiley Rein's Election Law Practice Rated among the Nation's Best; Jan W. Baran Recognized As "A Top-Notch Lawyer"

June 29, 2009

The 2009 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business recognizes Wiley Rein's Election Law & Government Ethics Practice and its chair, Jan Witold Baran as being among the country's best, placing both in their top tier rankings -- recognition they have received each year since the directory's inception.

As Chambers reports "this long-established team has a first-rate reputation on the Republican side and remains a strong player on the political law scene, counseling clients on election law and government ethics."

Described by the publication as "the star of the practice," Mr. Baran's "measured advice is highly sought after by political clients and the business community." Sources describe him as "clearly a top-notch lawyer," and widely consider him "the Republican go-to guy."

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms' clients, colleagues and competitors. Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.
