WRF Partner Appointed to ABA Standing Committee on Election Law Advisory Commission

Washington, DC—Carol A. Laham, a partner in Wiley Rein & Fielding's Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, has been appointed by the American Bar Association President-Elect to serve on its Standing Committee on Election Law Advisory Commission. The committee develops and examines ways to improve the federal electoral process and reflects the ABA’s commitment to ensuring that the nation’s election laws are legally sound and drafted to permit the broadest, least restrictive access by Americans to the ballot box.

Ms. Laham counsels clients and litigates on compliance with federal, state and local election laws, the Ethics in Government Act, House and Senate Ethics, state ethics laws, the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 and its state counterparts and the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
