Lauren advises technology, fintech, and communications clients on AI and emerging technology compliance and regulatory strategy at the state and federal levels. She also helps clients navigate evolving legal obligations, manage regulatory risk, and respond to civil investigations and enforcement matters involving data practices, cybersecurity, consumer protection, and other complex technology issues.

Representative Matters
- AI and Emerging Technology Advice: Counsels clients on emerging state and federal laws and enforcement trends affecting AI, fintech, and cybersecurity and works with clients to translate those developments into practical compliance strategies and effective regulatory engagement. Assesses clients’ compliance obligations and legal risk under state and federal laws and develops practical governance strategies for addressing transparency, accountability, and risk considerations arising from the deployment of emerging technologies.
- Government Investigations and Enforcement: Represents clients before federal agencies and state attorneys general in civil government investigations, enforcement matters, and regulatory inquiries. Successfully helps clients respond to civil investigative demands, letters of inquiry, subpoenas, and other government requests to minimize enforcement risk and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Consumer Protection, Cybersecurity, and Data Governance Compliance: Counsels clients on complex consumer protection, data security, and data governance obligations under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act, the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and other FTC regulations; Federal Communications Commission regulations; and state consumer protection and data governance laws. Guides companies in strengthening cyber readiness and responding effectively to cyber incidents when they arise.
- CFAA Counseling: Counsels clients on legal questions relating to issues arising under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).
