Wiley Alert on FTC's "Made in America" Advertising Enforcement Quoted by Corporate Counsel
Duane C. Pozza, chair of the FTC and Consumer Protection Practice, and of counsel, Ian L. Barlow's, July 7 client alert on the Federal Trade Commission's enforcement of its “Made in the USA" advertising standards was referenced and quoted by Corporate Counsel in the article, "Warning Letters Show FTC’s Broad View of ‘Made in USA’ Claims."
In the article, Wiley's assessment that the FTC could look beyond explicit claims to “implied claims, which it says can be conveyed through other patriotic messaging such as the use of flags and phrases like ‘True American Quality,’” was noted.
