Podcast: Megan Brown Discusses ‘Internet of Things’ Cybersecurity Litigation Issues

Megan L. Brown, a partner in Wiley Rein's Telecom, Media & Technology and Privacy &  Cybersecurity practices, was featured in a July 3 Law.com podcast about cybersecurity in the Internet of Things (IoT) era.

While security flaws in IoT devices have opened the door to lawsuits, Ms. Brown said litigation will only hamper efforts to make devices more secure. “You may create a perverse incentive that tells companies don’t talk about their vulnerabilities and don’t share information about this because you’re just going to get sued down the road,” she said.
