Caleb Burns Quoted by LA Times Regarding California Campaign Finance Law

Caleb P. Burns, co-chair of the Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, was quoted by the Los Angeles Times regarding California campaign finance law in the article "Experts question whether big-money campaigns backing Karen Bass are truly independent."

“California campaign finance law presumes that I.E. committees that are run by former campaign staff or former government staff of the candidate are not operating independently. It’s a potential violation of the law,” said Burns.
