Our attorneys and staff volunteer enthusiastically for our pipeline programs and events. We do not evaluate the success or value of our pipeline initiatives by recruiting results. We consider them community building events within our firm and the broader community which we all enjoy.

Wiley Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship
As a sign of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession, we offer scholarships up to $25,000 to 1L and 2L law students who are members of a historically underrepresented group in the legal profession – including law students who are members of a racial and/or ethnic minority group, are differently abled, or are from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds – and who have demonstrated academic, leadership, and/or professional accomplishments and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholar Program
Through the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program, Wiley provides networking and professional development opportunities to diverse students who have completed their first year of law school. The LCLD scholar participates in Wiley’s traditional 10-week summer associate program, which provides hands-on experience at the firm. In addition, the firm’s LCLD scholar has the opportunity to attend a summit, along with other LCLD scholars, that provides training and professional development opportunities.
Entry Level Paralegal Positions
The Project Assistant position, which is an entry-level position within the firm’s paralegal program, is ideal for those individuals seeking to gain practical, hands-on work experience prior to pursuing law school. Our Project Assistants work directly on client matters with our attorneys and gain hands-on experience. This program is designed to build, through training and experience, key skills, including working on client-billable matters, preparing legal documents, performing research and analysis, and supporting the organization and management of cases.
Wiley is committed to creating a broad pipeline of talent that represents our goal of having a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. As part of our commitment to these efforts, we are proud to have created the Pre-Law Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship. The scholarship includes a Project Assistant position with the firm, a monetary award, and assistance with LSAT preparation and examination costs. High School
Over the past 12 years, Wiley has hosted a “Law Day” program for Thurgood Marshall Academy, a public charter high school located in Washington, DC. More than 1,000 rising ninth graders have participated in the Law Day program, which educates students on basic legal principles and features a case study, a mock trial, and a panel discussion on careers in the law.
Other Initiatives
Wiley is a proud supporter of the OnRamp Fellowship program, which is a re-entry platform that matches experienced women returning to the workforce after a career break with law firms, legal departments, and financial services firms for six-to twelve-month paid positions.
