Caleb Burns Discusses Mounting Scrutiny of Clinton Foundation Donations

Fox News
April 27, 2015

Caleb P. Burns, a partner in Wiley Rein’s Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, was interviewed by Fox News reporter James Rosen for a report that aired April 24 during “Special Report with Bret Baier”about the increasing scrutiny Hillary Clinton faces for donations to the Clinton Foundation. According to Mr. Rosen’s report, Mrs. Clinton has come under increasing scrutiny for the timing of donations to the Clinton Foundation and some of her leadership decisions when she was Secretary of State.

“There’s certainly smoke there,” Mr. Burns said. “The question’s going to be whether or not she took any official action in exchange for those donations. If she did, I think there is going to be a high, high likelihood of additional scrutiny, either from Capitol Hill or from the Department of Justice itself.”
