As an advocate, he has defended enforcement matters, negotiated consent decrees, arbitrated contract disputes, and briefed White House advisors and Members of Congress.

“With substantial expertise regarding government oversight in telecom, broadband, and the internet, Charles is conversant in such diverse topics as net neutrality, VoIP, location-based services, and IoT,” said Amb. David A. Gross, co-chair of Wiley’s TMT Practice. “He truly has a comprehensive understanding of the complex regulatory environment and competitive landscape in which our clients do business. He is an invaluable addition to our team.”

Mr. McKee managed Sprint’s regulatory department, comprised of attorneys, legal and business staff, based in offices throughout the United States and Washington, DC. He advocated policy positions before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other federal agencies, as well as state agencies. He provided regulatory advice for the development of innovative technologies, products, and services, and the deployment of infrastructure.

“I am honored to join the talented and respected attorneys at Wiley,” said Mr. McKee. “This firm has long been the standard against which others have been measured, and I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to its illustrious history.”

A renowned thought leader, Mr. McKee has presented at numerous public forums, including the Mobile World Congress and conferences hosted by CTIA, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, the Competitive Carriers Association, INCOMPAS (formerly COMPTEL), and the FCC.
