June 14, 2010

The 2010 edition of Chambers USA:  America's Leading Lawyers for Business ranks Wiley Rein as one of the best Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets firms in Washington, DC and has named Patent Group chair James H. Wallace, Jr. and Copyright Group chair Bruce G. Joseph "Leading Lawyers."

Chambers notes "the highly impressive litigation work undertaken by Wiley Rein spans patent, trademark and copyright IP.  The team is experienced in litigation before district, federal and Supreme courts and also offers expertise in actions before the ITC."  A source for the directory says Wiley Rein's lawyers are "practical and creative with regards to positioning a case and advising us on the right direction."

Chambers reports that Mr. Wallace "flies the firm's flag on the patent litigation front" and that Mr. Joseph, who is also rated in Chambers' Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets area, is "a respected copyright expert" known as "an utterly phenomenal litigator."  Mr. Wallace and Mr. Joseph also have been named among Washington's "Leading Intellectual Property Lawyers" by Legal Times and "Top Lawyers" by Washingtonian magazine.

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of  clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process.
