Kendra Norwood Comments on Procurement Aspects of Biden’s Clean-Energy Plans
Kendra Perkins Norwood, partner in Wiley’s Government Contracts Practice, provided comment for a January 21 Bloomberg Environment article about President Biden’s plans to incorporate his clean-energy priorities into the federal procurement process.
The article discusses, among other things, how procurements conducted by the General Services Administration (GSA) and other federal government agencies could be instrumental to the Biden administration’s climate efforts.
Ms. Norwood noted that federal agencies could opt to structure their procurements so that companies meeting certain environmental standards are evaluated more favorably for contract awards.
