Jan Baran Discusses Ethics Involved in Paul Manafort’s Roles as Lobbyist, Campaign Manager
Jan Witold Baran, co-chair of Wiley Rein’s Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, was interviewed by Joshua Johnson of WAMU-FM’s 1A show for a program focusing on Paul Manafort’s lobbying activities and previous role as the manager of President Trump’s 2016 campaign. Mr. Baran was part of a panel of guests discussing the investigation of Mr. Manafort by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the probe into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Mr. Baran’s co-panelists for the discussion – “Manafort in the Middle” – included Asha Rangappa, associate dean at Yale Law School and a former FBI agent; Susan Hennessey, a fellow at the Brookings Institution and former National Security Administration attorney; and Mark Mazzetti, Washington investigations editor at The New York Times.
