Dan Pickard Discusses CIT Ruling on Diamond Sawblades
Daniel B. Pickard, a partner in Wiley Rein’s International Trade Practice, was quoted in an article published yesterday in Law360 discussing the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) ruling that upheld a U.S. Department of Commerce assessment that the Chinese diamond sawblade companies had not demonstrated independence from state control. The CIT also assessed anti-dumping rates of 82.12 percent against the Chinese diamond sawblade companies.
“One of the largest importers of Chinese product has been found to be government-controlled, and the court has affirmed that the company should be assessed anti-dumping duties at the China-wide rate,” Mr. Pickard said. “This is a significant development.”
