Jan Baran Weighs In On Donald Trump’s Financial Disclosures List
Jan Witold Baran, co-chair of Wiley Rein’s Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, was quoted in a July 22 article published in The Washington Post about Donald Trump’s hefty list of financial disclosures that he submitted to the Federal Election Commission.
According to the article, Mr. Trump boasted last week that his net worth for 2015 was more than $10 billion; however, the filing does not provide specifics on Mr. Trump’s wealth. The filing does give Mr. Trump’s campaign more credibility.
“It looks like a serious filing,” Mr. Baran said. “The fact that he has so many intangible assets gives him the liberty to estimate their value himself.”
